We need a Production Scheduling Manager

Primary Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Team Management:
- Lead and coordinate the activities of scheduling staff, including training, development, performance evaluation, and hiring decisions.
- Establish clear goals and performance objectives for the scheduling department, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Process Optimization:
- Continually evaluate department processes, methods, and activities to ensure optimal resource utilization and equipment efficiency.
- Implement improvements and best practices to enhance productivity and streamline operations.
- Budget Management:
- Manage departmental budget and expenditures, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and financial targets.
- Demand Planning and Execution:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support customer demand, forecasts, and corporate inventory targets.
- Develop achievable production plans, identify constraints, and propose solutions to meet or exceed on-time delivery requirements.
- System Management and Optimization:
- Oversee the review of purchase orders and system-recommended messages to maintain accurate work order dates and adherence to organizational metrics.
- Identify gaps in planning systems and work with relevant departments to implement solutions.
- Maintain accurate system data, including lead times, safety stock levels, and order requirements.
- Communication and Documentation:
- Establish a proactive communication process for anticipated late deliveries, ensuring alignment with management guidelines.
- Create and maintain documentation and training materials for all planning and scheduling processes.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines, promoting a culture of safety and accountability.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering or Supply Chain Management or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in production scheduling, demand planning, and inventory management.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to foster collaboration and drive results.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Proficiency in SmartSheets, with the ability to analyze data and optimize processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with cross-functional teams.
